Supplemental AppendicesThe appropriate length of an article depends on the information presented, and there is no length limit. However, to enhance conciseness and readability, Physical Review Special Topics - Physics Education Research offers authors the opportunity to present auxiliary materials as a Supplemental Appendix. This appendix is primarily a depository for supplemental materials that are considered necessary for a complete understanding of the article but not sufficiently pertinent to the article to warrant inclusion in the primary text, or for materials that cannot currently be integrated into the article itself (e.g., multimedia or program files). Files submitted as Supplemental Appendices are made freely available to readers via a link on the article's abstract page in the format supplied by the author. These files are not processed by our composition vendor, but are archived as an integral part of the article. Supplemental Appendices should be submitted with the article as part of the review process, and clearly labeled as supp_append or aux_append. These appendices are not included in the length count (for publication charges) though a small handling fee of $50 will be assessed. |
