Announcement: New Chair of the PRST-PER Editorial Board (October 14, 2010)It is a pleasure to announce that Chandralekha Singh of the University of Pittsburgh has been named Chair of the Editorial Board of Physical Review Special Topics-Physics Education Research. Chandralekha is a frequent contributor to the journal, and she has a strong reputation as an accomplished scientist in the field. She is chair-elect of the APS Forum on Education, has co-chaired two Gordon Conferences, and has helped organize several Physics Education Research Conferences. Many thanks are also in order for outgoing Chair, Carl Wieman. Carl was instrumental in getting the journal established and provided important leadership during its initial years. The US Senate recently confirmed his nomination as Associate Director of the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy. Best wishes to him in this exciting new position! |
